The Girls Take Their First Steps Towards Walking to School Alone

This morning the girls took their first steps towards their goal of walking to school on their own. Daddy was running late and the girls had "earned" a donut by getting ready by themselves. So Daddy gave them a dollar and allowed them to walk to the corner by themselves to buy a donut while Daddy spend a few extra minutes getting ready. When Daddy arrived he found a great New York moment: a kind vendor had given the girls and extra donut and they were proud as they could be of themselves because one of their friends had walked by (with their father) and the girls had been able to say that they were, "on their own!"
